How do you decide what information gets posted, linked, or shared?

Everything is reviewed by the staff and a decision is made based on their discernment. That discernment is informed by the staff’s collective experiences, skillsets, identities, and knowledge. The posts, articles, and links we share has to meet some criteria:

  1. Does it pass the terms of our Statement of Inclusion? (This means it cannot contain things like hateful or bigoted speech.)
  2. Would it likely be useful for someone who is experiencing or has experienced some form of interpersonal violence, e.g. domestic/dating violence, child abuse, sexual assault, etc?
  3. Does it address the intersection of those trauma experiences with the experiences of being polytheist, pagan, or magic-using?
  4. If it has an education-oriented goal, does it meet general academic standards around substantiated claims and informed opinion?
  5. Is it a text that avoids (if not actively dismantles) the perpetuation of issues like cultural appropriation, privilege, and other issues of systemic inequality?
  6. If it’s an opinion or perspective piece, is it clear that it’s coming from a place of personal experience?

The author or group that produced one of the resources is problematic.

If the author or group who created a piece violates the terms of our Statement of Inclusion and the staff haven’t caught it, you can let us know through the Contact form. The situation will be reviewed and a decision made by consensus of the staff, and if the staff find that the article, post, or link does violate the Statement’s terms, then it will be removed.

I would like to add my own perspective or a resource that I’ve personally found useful.

Wonderful! If your post, article, or other resource meets our criteria listed above with the first question, we would be happy to consider adding it to our Resource pages. Contact us and start the conversation on how we can best share your information!
